DethWench Professional Services (DPS) puts forth these policies. Please note that these policies can change at any time, and that DPS can choose to waive these policies on a case-by-case basis. IMPORTANT NOTE: Seminars featuring R software teach about using the R native GUI, not RStudio. DPS does not offer seminars about RStudio.

Registration and Payment
  • Registration and payment is done through EventBrite, which accepts major credit cards.
  • EventBrite charges a small fee for processing payment. This fee will be noted when you go to pay for the seminar. The fee is the responsibility of the customer.
  • If you have a coupon for a discount, please select which seminar you want to attend, then e-mail Monika Wahi, seminar leader, at dethwench@gmail.com with this information. She will e-mail you back with a unique discount code so you can apply your coupon when you sign up.
  • Links to registration are available on EventBrite.
  • Payment is due at the time of registration.
  • After registering and before the seminar, you will be provided a zip file of the materials associated with the seminar by e-mail. Instructions will be provided on how to access the materials from the zip file, and optional prep work for the seminar.
Connecting Online
  • A maximum of 5 learners will be included in every seminar. The seminar leader reserves the right to raise this cap for seminars on a case-by-case basis, but the goal will be to only have 5 learners at a time. This allows time for questions and customized instruction.
  • Seminar participants must have a Skype account to be connected into the online seminar. To set up your free Skype account and download and install free Skype software, go to this page: https://www.skype.com/en/
  • Prior to the seminar, please send the seminar leader, Monika Wahi, a contact request in Skype. You can find Monika by searching for the following e-mail address: dethwench@hotmail.com. Once you find her, please send her a contact request in Skype and she will accept it. If you have trouble with this, please e-mail Monika Wahi at dethwench@gmail.com (note the different e-mail from the one you search for in Skype).
  • On the day of the online seminar, please connect to Skype 15 minutes before the start of the seminar. The seminar leader will begin connecting all participants into the seminar 15 minutes prior to the start of the seminar. The seminar leader will call you using Skype; please answer when you get this call.
  • If the seminar leader is unable to connect you to the online seminar during the 15 minutes prior to the seminar, you will miss the seminar. If this happens, the seminar leader will contact you after the seminar. You will receive credit to be used on another seminar, or the same seminar at a different time.
  • If you are disconnected during the seminar, you will be considered as having not attended. You will receive credit to be used on another seminar, or the same seminar at a different time.
  • Payments for seminars take place prior to seminar, and are final! However, if you have problems accessing the seminars, or you want to retake a seminar you have already taken, you will receive credit and be able to do that at no cost.
  • In order to attend a seminar at no cost, please contact Monika Wahi at dethwench@gmail.com and tell her which particular seminar you want to attend (date and time). She will provide you a one-time specific discount code for you to use to sign up that will waive the cost.
  • You will receive a link to an online pre-seminar and post-seminar survey. Both these surveys are optional. The pre-seminar survey is identified (the seminar leader will be able to tell who filled it out) and can help the seminar leader tailor the seminar to your needs. The post-seminar survey is completely anonymous and can help the seminar leader improve the seminar.
Refunds
  • No refunds are given.
  • If a seminar is paid for and the attendee misses it or is disconnected during it, the attendee will receive full credit to be used on another seminar, or the same seminar at a different time.
  • If the attendee is dissatisfied with the seminar, please contact the seminar leader, Monika Wahi, at dethwench@gmail.com. You can explain why you were dissatisfied, and we can make a deal so that you are satisfied.
  • If the attendee is allowed to re-attend the same seminar at a different time for free. However, you must register to make sure there are not too many people at the online seminar. Please contact Monika Wahi at dethwench@gmail.com, and she will provide you a coupon code so you can register for free.
